Privacy Policy

This policy explains how Boxdot Studio, operated by Carlos Betancourt ("Boxdot", "we"), collects and uses personal information through boxdotstudio.com and the forms and booking pages it links to.
What we collect, and why
- Contact form: your name, business, email, what you need, and your message. It reaches us by email; the website doesn't store it.
- Free audit request: your name, email, website address and your main goal. We keep it in our private business system ("HQ") to prepare your audit and reply.
- Service Pages free preview request: your name, Instagram handle, the service you offer, your WhatsApp number, and when you agreed to be contacted. If you send them later, also your booking link and email. We keep it in HQ to review your request, reply on WhatsApp and build your preview. With your OK, we use your public Instagram posts to build it.
- Booking a call: your name, business, email, phone, how you prefer to be contacted, what you need, and your time zone. We keep it in HQ, add the call to our Google Calendar with a video link, and email you a confirmation and reminders.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. You enter your card on Stripe's page; we never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us your name, email, phone, the amounts, and whether each payment went through.
- WhatsApp: when you message us, WhatsApp (Meta) handles the messages under its own privacy policy.
- Technical data: like most websites, our hosting records limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to keep the site secure and working.
- Client pages we host: pages we build for our clients count visits and "Book now" and WhatsApp clicks, as totals only. They use no cookies and keep nothing about the visitor.
We don't use analytics or advertising cookies, and we don't sell your personal information.
Who helps us
We share personal information only with providers that help us run our business, and only what they need:
- Railway: hosts our website and HQ, including its database
- Resend: sends our emails
- Google: our email inbox and calendar, for booked calls
- Stripe: payments
- Cloudflare: our domain's DNS, email forwarding to hello@boxdotstudio.com, and encrypted backups of HQ
- WhatsApp (Meta): messages you send us there
We may also share information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.
How long we keep it
- Requests and booked calls stay in HQ while we need them to follow up with you or serve you as a client. We delete them when you ask, unless the law requires us to keep them.
- A free preview that isn't approved within 7 days is deleted.
- Encrypted backups of HQ are deleted automatically: daily backups after 30 days, monthly backups after 12 months.
- Stripe keeps payment records as payment and tax laws require.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we have about you. Depending on where you live, including Florida, you may have more rights. Email hello@boxdotstudio.com.
Security
- Only Boxdot can sign in to HQ.
- Our logs don't contain your name, email, phone or messages.
- Backups are encrypted.
- No method over the internet is completely secure, so please don't send highly sensitive information through our forms.
Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
